Abhimanyu studied Architecture in India, where he was awarded his Bachelors in Architecture (2010). He continued his studies at the Bartlett School of Graduate Studies where he was awarded his MSc in Advanced Architectural Studies (2012), a course focused on Space Syntax theories and methodologies.
Prior to joining Space Syntax Abhimanyu worked at Morphogenesis, a leading design firm based in New Delhi, India and was involved in a range of projects including schools, office buildings and townships which contributed to his understanding of the relationship between space and society.
Abhimanyu’s academic interests are focussed on the relationship between landuse distribution and the spatial configuration of cities and his Master’s thesis was aimed at understanding the development pattern of Satellite towns around New Delhi.
Abhimanyu joined Space Syntax in October 2012 as an intern and joined the company as a Project Consultant in 2013.
He has been involved in projects in the UK and the USA that include detailed spatial analysis, pedestrian movement analysis, design and regeneration of urban space. He has also been involved in the regeneration project of the Unplanned Settlements in Jeddah.
Currently Abhimanyu is part of a team working on the sub-regional and structural planning of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
