Kayvan has worked on a wide range of professional and research projects, including: strategic city planning, city centre redevelopment, urban conservation and urban regeneration, large-scale urban masterplanning, ‘slum’ upgrading and regeneration, large-scale commercial/retail development, public realm design, pedestrian movement planning and complex building projects.
His work experience spans from the East, where he originates, to the West, where he has practised for most of his professional life. In recent years, Kayvan has led a number of large-scale strategic planning projects, among them the Jeddah Strategic Planning Framework.
Kayvan is a member of Space Syntax’s Board of Trustees and Board of Directors.
