Su Jin Kwon studied Bachelors and Masters degrees in Architectural Studies at The Bartlett, University College London.
She started an internship at Space Syntax in October 2012 and joined the company as a Consultant in January 2013. She became an associate in August 2017.
Her academic interest lies in buildings, especially museums and galleries. She pursued this interest in her Masters thesis titled “Patterns of co-presence at a museum and a department store”.
At Space Syntax, she has applied her knowledge on human behaviour in various types of buildings and worked on cultural and office projects.
Beyond her academic knowledge, she has also worked on mixed-use site development, spatial modelling, pedestrian and cyclist movement analysis and forecasting, as well as urban planning and design projects in the UK and worldwide, including a masterplan for the CBD of Darwin, Australia.
Her recent work includes the Bristol Temple Meads Masterplan for the HCA and the Cardiff Central Station Masterplan for Network Rail.
