Cristina Vanegas started an internship at Space Syntax in 2018 and joined the company as a Consultant in January 2019. She has worked in spatial modelling, movement and urban analysis for mixed-use developments, urban design & regeneration projects in the United Kingdom, Ireland and India.
Her research interest focuses on the integration of analytical tools in the design process at various scales as well as developing further understanding in how natural elements can be better integrated in urban design and planning. In the same vein, her Masters’ dissertation investigated spatial configuration along small rivers in London.
Cristina has worked as an architect in design and BIM modelling for residential and commercial developments, and lecturing at the Architecture School of University of Azuay in Ecuador.
