Diya Feng joined Space Syntax as a Consultant in February 2025, following an internship that began in October 2024.
She is passionate about exploring the relationship between spatial design and user experience at both the building and urban scales. Currently, she is engaged in planning and design projects across the Middle East.
Diya holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Architecture from Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), Suzhou, China and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of Liverpool, UK. She also earned a Master of Arts in Architecture from the University of Liverpool and a Master of Science in Space Syntax: Architecture & Cities from The Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London.
Her interest lines in researching the role of spatial configuration in urban functionality, the spontaneous optimization of land use based on spatial characteristics and modelling their interconnections. She pursued these interests during her master’s studies in ‘space syntax’, culminating in her thesis ‘Allowing Integration to Evolve: An Iterative Model for Land Use Prediction Based on Weighted Syntactical Measures’, which was awarded a distinction.
2024 MSc in Space Syntax: Architecture & Cities (Distinction), The Bartlett, University College London
