Nora Karastergiou is an urban designer and architect (registered in Greece). She studied Architecture at the University of Patras and continued her academic training at the Bartlett (UCL) where she completed the MArch in Urban Design.
Nora joined Space Syntax as a Consultant in 2011 and was made Associate Director in 2019.
She has been involved in various projects in UK and worldwide that include masterplan development and public realm design, detailed spatial analysis, pedestrian and cyclist movement analysis and forecast. She has also been involved in the regeneration project of the Unplanned Settlements in Jeddah.
Recent work, involving spatial layout design advice and pedestrian modelling, includes the development of a new city in Abu Dhabi, the redevelopment of Cardiff Central Station for Network Rail and Bristol Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone for HCA and the Euston Area Plan Pedestrian and Cycle Analysis in London with WSP for Transport for London.
Nora is a member of Space Syntax’s Board of Trustees.
