The first event in the Urban Imperative series examined how existing places can be improved to accommodate changing populations. The second event explored how existing places can be extended to accommodate rising populations in cities throughout the world. What are the challenges traditionally associated with this type of development and how is radical change accommodated in different places? What are the new approaches that can provide a way of addressing the challenges of rapid urbanisation and demographic change?

We have received a large amount of positive feedback from these events, demonstrating the unique and thought-provoking impact of the subjects that have been discussed.
