Space Syntax director Anna Rose was invited by the World Health Organisation (WHO), to contribute to the development of a global action plan to promote physical activity.

Anna travelled to Geneva, Switzerland to attend a workshop along with other global experts. The draft action plan was developed through a series of discussions and workshop exercises during which attendees reviewed and analysed the latest data, scientific knowledge and best practice. They used this material to develop policy options for WHO Member States and international partners.

Anna said, ‘Our focus has always been on using science to create cities that promote human activity and movement. The chance to be involved in a global initiative and inform policy development at a such as strategic level is exciting and I look forward to participating further as the draft plan is refined.’
