Space Syntax has been shortlisted in an international competition to create a concept masterplan for the city of Astana, Kazakhstan. We are developing a vision that supports the city’s ambition to strengthen its regional and global importance.

As the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Astana is one of the fastest growing megacities in the Eurasian sphere. The city aims to attract new ideas and investments in order to establish itself as the business, financial, scientific and educational centre of the Central Asian region.

Space Syntax is partnering with Gustafson Porter + Bowman, Future City, Savills, Expedition Engineering and Light + Space.
