Stephen Law completed his doctoral degree requirements at the end of 2017 and has subsequently been awarded a PhD degree from University College London. He undertook his doctoral research under the supervision of Prof. Alan Penn and Dr Kayvan Karimi while working part-time at Space Syntax.
Stephen’s thesis, ‘A multi-scale exploration of the relationship between spatial network configuration and housing prices using the hedonic price approach’, proposes using spatial configuration methods and the hedonic price approach for enhancing the analysis and interpretation of the housing market in the densely populated region of Greater London. The results of Stephen’s research demonstrated that spatial configuration factors are significant when correlated with house prices at the street, neighbourhood and housing submarket scales.
