Spatial Accessibility Model of the proposed pedestrian route network

Camden Council has approved a planning application for the redevelopment of a strategic site east of Chalk Farm Road on the Regents Canal. The decision was made at the council’s Development Control Committee meeting on Thursday, 29th November.

Space Syntax has supported the development team over the last five years, helping to create the masterplan for this major mixed-use project.

Our analysis was used to craft a design in which streets and public spaces connect effectively into the local urban context. This will both ease pressure on the crowded Camden High Street and create convenient access for visitors and local residents.

The Space Syntax team, led by Anna Rose, advised on the scale, shape and character of the new public spaces and on issues of pedestrian comfort and community safety.
