We are pleased to announce that on the 20th July 2017 we are holding our third and final event in our current series, entitled The Urban Imperative: improve, extend, create. This series explores how three interrelated choices, to improve, extend or create cities could play out and interact in different contexts around the world.

Event 3: How can we create new places for the future?

In our final event in the Urban Imperative series we will be looking at different aspects to consider in creating future places. In a rapidly changing world, how can we design to ensure flexibility for the future? What are the challenges in designing valuable and sustainable living and working environments? What are the advantages and disadvantages of creating new places, as opposed to building on existing ones? How we plan and implement new places will shape our future living.

We’re looking forward to a lively debate on this topic and are pleased to announce our confirmed speakers, who will provide brief provocations to get the conversation started:
