Tim Stonor and Anna Rose presented at the Metropolitan Cities 2018 Conference in Aachen, Germany on 21st July. The Nordrhein Westphalia region is preparing a bid for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. In his keynote, Tim described the essential features of a “smart” urban planning strategy. He says that creating a smart strategy means “using the best of technology to the purpose of creating thriving life for everyone.”

Tim presented Space Syntax’s experience in the masterplanning of the London 2012 Games as well as some early concepts for the creation of a “networked regional” identity for 2028.
